Placeholder Heathrow Airport scene
This incident caused the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
